Highlights Video Deportivo vs Real Madrid:

Real Madrid recorded their first victory at Deportivo La Coruna in almost two decades to keep the pressure on Primera Division pace-setters Barcelona. Real had not won at the Riazor since the 1991-92 season and had been defeated in their last six visits.

It took Real Madrid, which was the dominating team throughout the game, only 13 minutes to make it 1:0. Granero headed the ball past Deportivo goalkeeper Aranzubía.

Only minutes before halftime it was Karim Benzema who made it 2:0 after a superb assist from Guti.

For the most part the second half was not as exciting as the first one. The game heated up again after Riki scored from the penalty spot to make it 2:1 in the 86. minute.

While the hopes from the Deportivo supporters grew to get at least one point out of this game Karim Benzema scored his second goal of the day.
