Real Madrid summer transfer target has moved one step closer to signing with the Spanish giants, after Werder Bremen failed to convince the young talent into signing a contract extension.
Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs told newspaper Kreiszeitung: “We wanted to reach an agreement after the World Cup, but we could not find a solution in our negotiations.”
“We both had our ideas, but we could not agree on them.”
“This is not a drama, it is just how it is.”
Real Madrid are believed to be leading the chase to sign the 21 year old playmaker, after news reports suggested that a meeting was recently held between Real Madrid officials and Ozil representatives in an attempt to negotiate a possible transfer deal for the player.
