Real Madrid will have to face off against Bayern Munich tonight without wearing their Bwin strip in the tribute match Franz Beckenbauer.
Speaking to reporters, Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “I regret this very much and want to apologize to Real Madrid.”
“Bayern Munich is known throughout the world for its hospitality, but unfortunately we cannot be as hospitable as we would like to be.”
“The law orders our opponent to play without their original shirt.”
Munich authorities have warned Real Madrid that they will have to pay 50,000 euros if they do not abide by the rules and go on to wear their Bwin sponsored shirt.
