Real Madrid Transfer Update 08.06.15

Ok, so we sacked the coach who won “La Decima” for and with us and installed a new manager. A manager who has won just 2 minor titles (Chelsea: 2013 Europa League and SSC Napoli: 2014 Italian Cup) in the last 7 years – Rafael Benitez.

A coach who is famous for his sometimes overly defensive approach. I think we can all agree that we only can hope.

One hope is that Real Madrid will further strengthen its squad.

So far Real Madrid has signed Danilo and resigned Casemiro from FC Porto. Both Brazilian internationals will have to fight for a place in the starting XI.

Further 19 years old offensive Marco Asensio joins Los Merengues from RCD Mallorca. Although an outstanding talent we don’t expect to see Asensio very often in a game of the senior team in the 2015/16 season.

Last but not least there is left winger Denis Cheryshev whos loan spell at Villarreal CF is ending. Let’s see if the Russian comes back permanently or will go on loan again. Maybe he will substitute Chicarito Hernandez who will rejoin Manchester United after his loan ended.

Sami Khedira is said to be on the jump back to Bundesliga or Juventus Torino.

So far so bad – I can’t see how Real Madrid will do better next season with this coach and no outstanding additions to the squad (although Danilo and Casemiro will have some impact for sure).
